Skill Development Centres
In consonance with the national mission of making India
the Skills Capital of the world, CII is working with Central
and State Governments, Industry and Institutions, to
build a multi-faceted ecosystem at the grassroots to
help India leverage its people resource.
- CII Skill Training Hubs in Chindwara (Madhya Pradesh), Bhiwadi (Rajasthan) and Balasore (Orissa)
- Skill Gurukuls at the district level, in partnership with PARFI (Pan IIT Alumni Reach for India)
- Sectoral Skill Councils in partnership with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC)
VLFM Initiative
CII's Visionary Leaders for Manufacturing
(VLFM) Programme aims to create locomotive
manufacturing companies in India, by developing
leaders who can leverage their learnings in their
company's ecosystem, as 'Champions for Societal
Manufacturing'. Since its inception in 2007, the programme, supported by the Japan International
Cooperation Agency and the National Manufacturing
Competitiveness Council, India, has developed
1000+ leaders from more than 330 large, medium
and small manufacturing enterprises.
